the main character is out!

Open sesame! the laptop finishing is sleek and it feels very nice to touch. however the hinge dun feel very solid when i open it as compared to the S6F model. also another point to take note is the touchpad. if you got sweaty palm, or wet fingers, the touchpad can get alittle sticky feeling. not much of a problem actually.

the left side of the lappy. starting from the left is: Ethernet socket, Tel socket, USB2.0 socket, DVD drive and SD/MMC/MS/MS PRO card slot. no card adapter is provided so if you using those smaller versions of the 4 cards mentioned you have to buy your own one.

the back view. The ASUS logo quite nice looking against the white backing :D again from the left: AC power socket, socket for the unknown wire, 6 call battery, USB2.0 socket, the hole to put laptop locks one.

The right view of the lappy. from the left we have: express slot on the top, volume control, audiojack, mic, optical audio, air ventilation, USB2.0 socket and video out to monitor socket.

the switch for wireless/BT and the round button is for toggling between the various power saving modes as said by the manual. i have yet to try it out. as for the BT/wireless swtich, too bad they dun have individual ones. its a switch to turn on BOTH. if you want to switch off either one, you have to do it in the computer itself.

the power switch. as for design wise i think i still prefer the W5F round power button. looks cooler :D

the 1.3mega pixel camera. for web cam or self shot purposes. very nice addon and very handy too :D especially for those ppl going overseas like me. can have video conferencing with family back in SG without having to buy another webcam with all the extra wires.

the notebook sleeve by asus.included in the package.

laptop bag provided by ASUS. its a Targus brand bag. also included in the package
this is all for the physical review. more to come later on after i finish playing around with the software :D
